The last in my current ‘new in’ stuff is another piece from Mango! I’m a big fan of convienient and comfy clothing so this khaki skort (e.g. looks like a skirt at the front but is actually shorts) caught my eye immediately. While I’m definitely more of a skirt wearer, having the ease of the shorts makes everyday wear more practical, especially when it’s so short.
Despite having very little khaki in my wardrobe, I found this piece really easy to style up, making it perfect for summer days lounging around in the park or around the city. Here I’ve kept it casual teaming it with a grey primark t-shirt, burgandy vans and a fringed backpack from ASOS but I think it’ll also look great with a more oversized boxy t-shirt or a sheer shirt.
I have to admit – this isn’t exactly what I expected from what I saw on the website. The fabric appears more stiff and thicker on the website than in real life, changing the way the skort sits on the body. While I would’ve much preferred a more structured garment (which could’ve also looked nice more dressed up), I remain happy with the purchase as I’m sure this will become a staple in the warmer months!
