I’ve attempted to write this opening sentence to my first blog post after a two month hiatus numerous times. I thought this was a good as any way to start. Hello, hi. Welcome back – I hope you like the new surroundings.
It’s been the longest time in my own blogging history that I haven’t put up a post. To put it short, A levels have taken over my life and stress haunts my every move. I wish I was being dramatic with that sentence (okay, there’s a bit of melodrama in there) but the blog and youtube channel have had to take a back seat during this wave of coursework deadlines and mock exams. Having said that, I’ve found myself not making efficient use of my time – scrolling through others blogs, watching endless youtube and generally spending way too much time ‘relaxing’ when I could be writing and creating content.
So, I’m back.
For a long time now I’ve felt that I was no longer ‘madfashionlover’. What once was solely a fashion blog back in 2013 (throwback to my weekly ‘style icon’ posts!) has now grown into more of a mash up of different topics -hopefully- more representative of me as a person. While I continue to focus and be deeply enthralled by the fashion industry, I can’t help but want to share my opinions, my travelling and my important milestones in my life too. So here we are – www.jodiebb.co.uk It’s simple and to the point (for anyone who doesn’t know the ‘bb’ is my surname initials!) and will hopefully carry me through my time blogging.
Also, a big thank you has to go out to Pipdig for all the help in designing/setting up my new blog! I hope you all love it as much as I do, it’s honestly the type of design I’ve wanted since starting up three years ago! If you’re looking for affordable blog re-design then definitely check them out.
I hope you’re all doing well, it feels weird coming back after what feels like so long. I hope you’ll enjoy the new content coming your way over the next few months; I’m excited to see where everything will go. If you haven’t already, go and have a snoop around the blog and get used to the new design! I’ve also updated my social media networks so if you fancy hearing more from me through instagram or twitter you can find me @jodieblogs
I’m strangely sad to say goodbye to madfashionlover but hope you like the change. I won’t leave it 2 months before my next post. Promise.
