London Fashion Week is here again so I thought I’d bring you a couple of my favourite designers that have shown so far…
After an Instagram picture from Clio Peppiatt’s show on Friday popped up from blogger ZoeLondon, I had to snoop around for some more photos and information about the designer! The Clio Peppiatt brand -which launched in 2014- features bold prints, 70’s inspired pieces and vibrant colours. 24 year old Peppiatt, a graduate from Ravensbourne, ‘explores themes of feminity and youth culture’ with a lurking ‘tongue in cheek’ humour. As an avid bold colour wearer myself, I’m drawn in by Peppiatt and her SS16 collection which looks upbeat, original and badass.
I’m inspired by Peppiatt’s mix matching of colours, prints and textures and can’t wait to experiment with my own wardrobe and design ideas.
The ‘Queen of prints’ put on an amazing show on Saturday which -from what I can see- heavily featured denim and then, obviously, garment after garment of statement prints which make you want every single piece. I particularly loved the co-ordinating denim outfit below – now I want a bold pattern going down my jeans! Holly Fulton never fails to stun at fashion week and she’s definitely made me think about my own print work for my future designs, after all, I think she’s proved – print is important!
Let me know who you’ve been digging at London Fashion Week so far! I’m writing this on Saturday afternoon so don’t kill me if I haven’t mentioned a designer from Sunday! I’m looking forward to seeing what House of Holland put on in a few hours (Saturday evening) and obviously, what Vivienne Westwood brings to the catwalk.
