Confidence is always a weird thing to talk about. I feel like we look at each other and see their confidence, we all want to be as confident as someone else. Be brave enough to say the things that others say. Well, at least, I know I do occassionally. I made a video yesterday about confidence so I thought I’d pop up here and talk about it too. Here’s a some things which make me feel confident…
1. Wearing something I like and feel comfortable with is always the first thing I do to feel confident. It sounds really silly and simple but I’ve found myself feeling shy and awkard when I’m constantly tugging a short skirt down or sucking in my tummy so I much prefer wearing my favourite clothes!
2. Don’t let it cross your mind. When I’m having to go speak in front of a crowd or do something I’m nervous about, the last thing I want to do is think about it too much. I’m a complete worrier and thinking about something I find scary will only make me pick it to pieces with all the potential problems! Some people may find that they’re the complete opposite though and thinking through things actually helps them put things into perspective.
3. Putting on a smile is my favourite way to conquer fear or nervousness. As a blogger, I’m constantly taking photos and even filming, right outside my house. I couldn’t even count the amount of funny looks you get which really squeeze the confidence out of you but smiling back and ‘appearing confident’ (you know, standing tall and looking relaxed) really helps in those awkward situations… because seriously, who cares?
