I’m not ever daring with make-up. I don’t even wear it 90% of the time. But the other week I was filming a festival lookbook and decided to do something a little different. Personally I really like it and think it’s perfect holiday/festival/summer make-up but I know colour doesn’t appeal to everyone!
I actually have no base makeup (foundation, bb cream, concealer, etc) on here because ‘flawless’ skin is unrealistic and heaps of base make-up feels horrible in the sun but obviously do whatever you want to get nice glowing skin – I used moisturiser. I also used a shimmer brick from Ted Baker, a bronzy highlighter on my cheek bone area and a tiny bit of the Rimmel eyebrow pencil. The fun bit is obviously the eyes. For them I used a Barry M dazzle dust (basically a pigment) in the shade ‘bright indigo’. I used my fingers to press the pigment onto my eyelid then added a darker blue eye shadow into the crease to add a little definition and blend it out. Lastly for the eyes I did a little wing using a Models Own Liquid eye liner in black and added a dark blue mascara onto my lashes (which you can’t really tell from the photos!). Also, on my lips is a Barry M lip pencil in coral red and the Barry M matte me up crayon over the top in ‘dress rehearsal’.I love that brighter colours both on the face and in fashion are more acceptable in the summer. I had fun extending my love of colours into my make-up and hopefully I’ll try some more looks in the future. Let me know what you think – yay or nay?
