To say I love nail varnishes wouldn’t do my feelings justice, let’s face it, I’m addicted. Over the last few months I’ve collected way too many to name and funnily enough several have come from Barry M. I feel like, as a person whose tried and tested many a brand, I’m qualified-ish to give my thoughts on the ‘Gelly’ range. To see which nail polish colours I own from the range and to hear my thoughts, carry on reading!
THE COLLECTION: As of writing this post (because let’s be honest, I can’t help buying more) I have
five six nail polishes from the Barry M Gelly range. The colours are pictured below are: Coconut, Almond, Mustard, Blue Grape, Plum and Sugar Apple.
GOOD POINTS: Let’s just put this out there – I love the Barry M Gelly range. The formula is super easy to apply on your nails and it’s pretty opaque (the best lazy girl nail varnish if you ask me). My nail varnish CONSTANTLY chips on me whatever brand I wear, however the Gelly formula definitely lasts on my nails more than the other brands and from other people I can see this is an opinion shared by most. Importantly, the colour range is massive meaning that once you fall in love with the range –because you will– then you won’t be short of colours to choose from!
BAD POINTS: If I’m honest, I’d really have to search for a negative for this product. Priced at £3.99 I believe it’s value for money and a great product. I guess the only thing you should be wary of is that you can’t get away with applying multiple thick coats of nail varnish with this as the ‘gel’ like formula with not dry properly.
FAVOURITE COLOURS: I have numerous bright, bold colours in my nail varnish collection but the one I constantly reach for is ‘Almond’. A lovely grey toned neutral seems to go with every outfit – and it makes me feel pretty darn sophisticated. Recently I purchased ‘Coconut’ a more lighter, vanillary colour and I can tell that will also be up there in the nail varnish charts.
WHERE YOU CAN BUY THEM: You can buy the Barry M ranges from just about everywhere in the UK! Both Boots and Superdrug stock them and you can also head onto their own website to purchase them. I hope you like my latest review & PLEASE help fuel my nail polish addiction by letting me know your favourite brands and shades! As always my twitter is @madfashionlover or you can comment below.
