Tis’ the season for red lips

For me the festive season screams ‘RED LIPS’ and although I wear red lipstick when the hell I want (seriously, who cares?!), the festive season does give me a good excuse to bust the red lip products out more. Here’s the red lip products I’ve been loving.

The Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in ‘Hot Pepper’ is the easiest red lip product to apply. It goes on quite smooth and then becomes matte on your lips. It’s VERY long lasting, you can eat and drink with ease knowing that your red lipstick won’t come off! I definitely reccommend it!

Next up is a Ted Baker lipstick. I’m not sure how/where they sell this (or even if it’s actually got a shade name?!) but it’s almost identical in colour to my MAC lipstick, but has a more glossy finish. It’s slightly lighter, more vibrantly red/orange than MAC russian red.

Recently I’ve loved just using a red lip liner over my lips instead of a lipstick. It obviously lasts AGES and is a really easy thing to apply. One of my faves is my Models Own one…

The last lip product (and my most treasured one) is my first ever MAC lipstick in Russian Red. To me this is the perfect red and personally, I think it works well with my skin tone. It’s quite matte (but not drying!) and stays on my lips for everrrr. Literally the first time I wore it was for my birthday and I ate pizza without needing to reapply…now that’s what I call a good lip product…

I hope you enjoyed this blog post. Let me know what your favourite red lipstick is…I’m addicted!!
