If you don’t follow me on twitter (@madfashionlover) then you’ll probably be unaware of my long term (ish) search for the ‘Boots Essentials Curl Creme’. If you’re new to my blog, then let me take this moment to introduce you both… meet my number one essential, saviour, must-have hair product. It’s a mere £1.69 from Boots and I’ve been using it for the last 7 years at least.
The words on the tub literally say it all – the product controls and defines natural curls. So, no, sorry this isn’t a miracle curl producer but if you do have curls (especially ones which turn frizzy in seconds, cough, me, cough) then this is perfecto.
Unfortunately this product has been out of stock on the website and in local stores for a VERY long time – in fact for the last 3 months or so *cries*. It got to the point where I actually took to twitter to inform Boots of this problem…
Needless to say they responded to my requests and stocked up their shelves to the brim with curl creme in stores nationwide (or this was just a coincidence, but I’d like to think otherwise…). Seeing them for the first time last week made me so happy I had to buy 3, because y’know, just in case…
All this summer I’ve been ‘angry’ as such, with my hair. We all go through those times when everyone else’s hair seems like the preferable option, the more managable choice and generally the one you just WANT. But with my curl creme back in it’s rightful home and my hair having gone back to it’s springy, coiled self, I once again feel glad to be a curlie.
I hope you can also embrace your hair and love it for what it is, even if it can be a bit of a pain!
(stay tuned for a ‘hair journey’ post looking back at my hair from when I was a baby until now)
