A Day In London

This weekend I ventured into London with Amara in the hope of meeting Labrinth at the BBC Radio 1 studios. On our travels we got to see quite a few London attractions which I guess we too often take for granted considering we live here. Here’s a few pictures from the day, if you want to see more then you can click the link at the bottom to take you to the short youtube video I made!

The Breakfast Club, is a widely known eating destination serving what many would consider the best breakfast in London (they also do lunch and dinner). Although I have never set foot inside the place, from other bloggers such as The Beauty Crush, all I hear about it is good things, not to mention the out the door QUEUES (yes, queues) for this grub…it sure must be worth it.

China Town, a turning off Leicester Square is such an awesome vibe, best to go in the evening though, to get the full experience from the lanterns.

Good old Oxford Circus – tourist centeral. Dodging the tourists can be a pain if you’re trying to navigate around the shops, but if you weekday shop the experience tends to be a little more pleasant.

After the long but interesting walk we finally made our way to the BBC studios, just off Oxford St if you’re wondering.

We mangaged to get into the BBC Media Cafe which was pretty cool as you could see down into the live airing of the news.

Taking a seat on ‘The Voice’ chair was fun, even if it wasn’t Will.i.am’s or Kylie’s one *disappointed face*

LABRINTH! After a good couple of hours of waiting (no joke) we finally met Labrinth. I think Amara would agree with me when I say that we didn’t act cool in the slightest…maybe next time?

Although we did find meeting Labrinth absolutely great (he was really nice and chill), I think we both realised that going out your way to meet someone – whether they’re a singer, musician or actor- isn’t necessarily the greatest thing ever, at the end of the day celebrities are still people. Needless to say, I would still go meet my favourite celebrities if I had the chance…

I hope you enjoyed this post, if you haven’t been to London I would truly recommend it – I feel extremely lucky to live in a city with so much to do!

You can check out the video of my day here! I would really appreciate it!
