Currently Loving: Yellow (yes, yellow)

I thought I’d switch it up a bit in terms of the ‘Currently Loving’ series of posts. Instead of choosing a type of clothing which I’m loving, I’ve gone with a colour instead- and of course I had to go with yellow. A lot of bloggers seem to have a massive love with monochromes… it seems like I instead love bright colours (yellow being my favourite). Like always, I’m going to show you my favourite items and along the way try to explain why I love them so much.

1. MY YELLOW SKORT

Okay, I understand that we’re in Autumn (wait, are we?) and that this is a mega summer piece but I had to include it in here to show you. I think I will be trying to style this piece in Autumn too – maybe with tights and a jumper… that could look bad but hey, I won’t know until I try it. This is a statement piece, will look lovely paired with plain items and accessories and was a bargain at only £4 in Primark – how could I say no?

2. MY YELLOW JUMPER

I’ve had this jumper for zonks and have definitely worn the life out of it! It’s from H&M and I think it was £7.99 but I’m not 100% on that. I think this is a gorgeous piece and is perfect for adding on the top of any monochrome outfit. It adds a vibrant colour and helps you stand out from the crowd. I always team this with a pair of jeans (here I’ve gone with some H&M patterned ones to add more interest) and you could wear a shirt underneath with a peeping collar to give it a preppy look.

3. MY YELLOW SATCHEL

Ah, my trusty yellow satchel. I’ve had this for just over a year now and I actually purchased this in Barcelona – so I have no idea what the shop/brand is called! I’m pretty sure I paid what was a equivalent to about £20 for this which I think is a complete bargain for a satchel. I used this as my school bag all last year and it managed to hold all my heavy books and random junk (although it is quite tight for space). I think this is the perfect bag to use to jazz up a boring or simple outfit. Like the jumper, it adds a pop of colour (and an unusual colour bag receives lots of compliments!).

I don’t really like yellow, but your items are so nice! Love your style 🙂

Yeah, yellow definitely isn’t a popular colour choice! Thank you 🙂
