DENIM SHORTS, 3 WAYS

So somehow it turns out I haven’t done a ‘fashion’ post on the blog since the 4th of June… WHAT?! Therefore today I’ve rolled out one of my ‘3 way’ posts, personally I love to see how you could use one of your favourite pieces in a numerous ways. Today the post is all about my favourite denim shorts which I purchased last month…I love ’em. They’re from Joy (http://www.joythestore.com/) and I managed to nab them in a sale for £15, which considering I had my eye on the Hallie shorts from Topshop (which are £30), I feel pretty chuffed. I’ve been wanting a pair of denim shorts for zonks but couldn’t find ones which actually COVERED your butt… why are there so many of those style on the highstreet?! Not cool. Unfortunately you won’t be able to find the JOY shorts online as they were a sale item but as I said before, if you’re feeling ‘splurgy’ the Hallie shorts do look pretty comfy, stylish and -most importantly- modest (http://www.topshop.com/en/tsuk/product/clothing-427/shorts-448/moto-bleach-hallie-hotpants-3070269?bi=1&ps=200).

COMFY & EASY

Yes, I know it’s summer but if you’re living in the UK you will know how up and down the weather has been recently! I wore this on a slightly overcast day and it was perfect for popping out if it’s nippy but changeable (that sounds so stupid because you’re still wearing shorts but you get what I mean…right? Haha).

WHAT I WORE
Jumper – H&M
Shorts – JOY
Trainers – Converse

And I’m wearing the Clinque Chubby Stick for lips in wobblin’ watermelon… I Love it.

DAY TRIP!

This is still a very laid back outfit. I like wearing a checked shirt/flannel (whatever you want to call it) because you can either tie it around your waist or throw it on top of your outfit – perfect for the temperamental weather and cold breeze. I’ve worn this with my Office trainers because I live in trainers, but you could also wear ballet flats, Dr Martens, etc. For me this is an outfit which is great for a whole day out because it’s comfy and looks chilled and relaxed.

WHAT I WORE
Checked Shirt – H&M mens section (if you’re looking for a comfy, oversized style one then the men’s section is where to look!)
Vest – Primark
Shorts – Joy
Trainers – Office

And I’m wearing red lipstick – I would jazz it up by wearing a black winged eyeliner!

SUMMER EVENING

I’ve been recycling this outfit a lot – holiday, gatherings, shopping..everything. It’s still chilled but with the darker lipstick, slightly more ‘dressy’ material top (which SO should have been ironed…) and heeled boots it can easily be worn for relaxed gatherings or occasions. To me this is summery, comfy and changeable, as it can easily be taken into the evening/night with an addition of a blazer or jacket.

WHAT I WORE
Top – Gap (one of my mum’s hand-me-downs)
Shorts – Joy
Boots – New Look
Necklace – A gift

And I’m wearing Rimmel Apocalips in eclipse and Rimmel Kate Matte Lipstick in 107.

I hope you liked this fashion post…which outfit was your favourite? If you like the format of this post you might want to check out my other ‘3 WAY’ posts linked below.
