Today I’ve decided to experiment with my Mom Jeans and show you three different ways in which you could potentially style them. My mom jeans are from Topshop and were £40 which is pretty reasonable considering they are amazingly thick, good quality jeans which wash well. You can check out the Mom jeans at Topshop by clicking this link – ([1070106|208527]&noOfRefinements=1). I’ve also had a hunt and managed to find some more reasonably priced Mom jeans from Boohoo and MissGuided (£19.99 to £24.99 which isn’t too bad), so make sure you check those websites out if you’re looking for mom jeans!

Summer’s evening/ lunch out

I really loved this outfit when I put it together. The bright shirt and the jeans work perfectly together and give a very summery look to a pair of jeans which could look quite wintery. The shoes are what really give the outfit an edge in my opinion. These nude studded flatforms are super comfy and easy to walk in. As ‘sandals’ they’re great for summer outfits yet give you some height and glamour. I took the ankle strap out of these shoes (I love shoes which are that versatile!) although I’m not sure how easy or not that would make them to walk in for a long period of time!

casual evening event

This has to be my favourite going out top ever. I discovered this in my mum’s wardrobe (I swear all the best fashion items come from your mum’s stuff!) a while ago and have been ‘borrowing’ it ever since. I think it’s a really good idea to go through any clothes your mum has got from her younger years (with her permission of course!) as the stuff she’s kept is most probably of some value and will have that ‘vintage’ look to it which is really in right now. Pairing the jeans with pointed courts is a style which has been in for a while and I think this adds a stylish twist to an everyday item. The grey colouring of the shoes means they don’t over power the whole outfit (in my opinion black pointed courts would be too harsh for this outfit) but the snakeskin points add a quirkiness to the whole outfit which I LOVE.

regular days out and about

Lastly is an outfit which I throw on all too often if I’m in a rush. I like how relaxed this outfit is and it can easily be replicated and changed to suit other styles by simply changing the type of top. The cute kitten top was a great buy from Primark although I think any printed crop top would work just as well. This outfit is a good example of how easy it is to change what could have been a winter outfit (with a chunky knit jumper) into a more summery outfit. I love the black boots which I chose to pair it with because they give you a bit of height but are still very wearable for everyday. For an even more chilled out feel I would simply throw on the nearest trainers I can find – converse, vans, nikes, any ones would work with this!
