Sheer blouses are the best things in my wardrobe…okay, that statement may have been a slight exaggeration, but what I’m trying to say is that sheer blouses are pretty darn awesome. Today I decided to express my love for sheer blouses by doing a whole blog post dedicated to them. Check out my favourite sheer blouses in my wardrobe at the moment by scrolling down..!
So I’ve started with my favourite one, which has previously been photographed on my blog. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this shirt. The simplicity of the design and the fit of it on me is flattering (in my opinion…). But of course the vibrant colour is what drew me to it in the shop, and what constantly draws me to it when choosing something to wear each day. Surprising to some, this shirt is actually from Primark and cost me a mere £9 (I say mere because £9 for a good shirt is fab). The quality of the shirt is good and it feels really soft – comfort is of course the most important thing, right? You can get these sheer blouses from Primark in a variety of colours and I should definitely go out and get some more of them!
This is by far my oldest sheer blouse in my wardrobe. It’s well loved (and really needed an iron in this photo…) but I still love wearing it occasionally. It’s a great colour as it can be worn with pretty much everything in my wardrobe. It can be dressed up with accessories and a pencil skirt yet I find it works well tucked into a pair of skinny jeans and some black boots. Everyone should have a cream blouse in their wardrobe.. it’s a worthwhile buy and doesn’t need to cost a lot – I got mine from New Look.
Another Primark shirt here… The lace sleeve detailing drew me to this shirt. I don’t think it hangs well on me but for the money I would still regard it as a good buy. Unlike the other sheer blouses I think this one gives more of a feminine feel, especially when it’s tucked in to a pencil skirt or long maxi skirt. Again, the cream colour makes it very versatile and easy to wear – although be warned, stains are a MASSIVE problem with these cream shirts!
Lastly, but by no means least is this vibrant red sheer blouse from Primark (AGAIN!). I love the rolled sleeves as it gives a very relaxed feel to the outfit – it becomes more of a t-shirt which makes it easier to wear in the day time. Somehow I managed to accidentally buy this shirt in a size 14 or 16, and although it’s oversized on me (I seriously have to tuck it in) I have come to the love the oversized look of it more than the fitted one. I can imagine wearing this shirt with denim shorts in the summer as it will keep me cool and will add a bright summery colour to my outfit. Team this shirt with converse and jeans – how could you go wrong?
I’m completely in love with sheer shirts at the moment – what fashion item are you in love with? I definitely would love a bold sheer shirt in green and blue. If you’ve got some wacky shirts, I’d love to see them!
