Hey there fashion lovers!
I hope your week has been amazing; it’s so weird only blogging once a week *sobs*. If you’re week has been anything like mine then you all really do deserve this little weekend break! This week I’m talking about some of my favourite fashion must haves, Beyonce and my January favourites -screams with excitement- so take a look below to find out more.
Latest fashion must-haves
I have been loving practically everything in these last couple of weeks – I seriously don’t know where to begin! Let’s start with shoes. There are a couple of shoes which I definitely have my eye on for spring/summer. The first pair are these simple black chunky cleated sole gladiator sandals from New Look which are £24.99. Not only do they follow the ‘chunky sole and heel’ trend they also look really good quality and would be a great (cheaper) dupe for more expensive sandals from Topshop, Urban Outfitters and Office. http://www.newlook.com/shop/shoe-gallery/view-all-shoes/black-chunky-cleated-sole-gladiator-sandals-_299412301
Although I am not a ‘bag girl’ – seriously, I only ever have about three in rotation! – I have spotted some every day black leather bags which I think will be perfect for when you need to carry a bit more stuff than usual. Of course, these have been seen on my all time favourite high street store – H&M. There’s numerous things I have seen (and now really want) from H&M but the main thing is this weekend bag. I love that it has a detachable shoulder strap which makes it super useful and practical. It does cost £29.99 (which really isn’t bad price for a bag) so I hope to get it sometime soon. http://www.hm.com/gb/product/22768?article=22768-A
The last must have which I’ll be sharing with you is inspired by what I have seen at the various fashion weeks which have gone on so far. According to the catwalks and the trend forecasts orange is set to be the new black (again!). Personally I love wearing colourful garments so I am definitely going to embrace this trend with open arms! I thought this crepe tee shift dress was really nice and casual, perfect for going in to spring/summer fashion. It’s from Topshop and is currently (at sale price) £25.
I could write hundreds of blog posts on why I absolutely love Beyonce, and this week created another one of those reasons! At the Grammy’s this week Beyonce and Jay Z opened the show, and then went on to get completely dressed up and looked perfect for the occasion. Beyonce wore a sheer dress with white cut out lace designed by Michael Costello. The dress was inspired by ‘New York winter wonderland’, as if snow was falling onto plants, trees and leaves. Beyonce’s hair, make-up (the berry lipstick is gorgeous!) and dress fell perfectly in place together which created one stunning outfit which people haven’t stopped talking about since.
I can’t believe it’s already February 2014. Life seems to be flying by at the moment! To mark the end of January I have done a ‘January Favourites 2014’ video for you. I’ve filmed some of my favourite products/things that I’ve been using in January – beauty, fashion, music and books – and they can all be viewed, along with my attempted explanations and opinions! Haha. Make sure you watch it to the end to see some of the bloopers!
