Ankle boots – the must have thing for autumn

Hey there fashion lovers!
I hope you’re having a good week! I’m taking out an hour or so from my piles of homework and coursework in order to write this blog post about something I totally love… shoes of course! Today I’m talking about ankle boots in particular.

I’ve always loved shoes in general, to be honest. Autumn is always about boots for me – the warmest, comfiest way to keep your feet dry in this cold, wet weather. This season more than any is all about the rise of the ankle boot. Like every year the shops have brought in their chunky knits, skinny jeans and mustard and burgundy coloured clothing. However the ankle boots are what excite me the most.

Ankle boots have been around for zonks, but this season it’s all about studs, buckles and unusual tones. I’ve found some fab ankle boots in a range of shops.. I’m going to share with you my favourite few.

These are some black leather look boots. I really like the knitted cuff which gives it a more ‘wintery’ vibe. It’s good to see PROPER laces on these boots instead of just a side zip, it definitely adds more of a worker boot look to it. These boots are perfect if you’re looking for a day boot – no heel means you could walk in them forever! They are available in both black and brown for £ 29.99 from New Look –

I’m also really loving these platform boots from H&M. They’re the perfect party shoe for adding a bit of height but they can also be transformed into pretty awesome looking day time boots – t-shirt and jeans me thinks. These are the same price as the other boots – £29.99

Lastly are these beauties from Topshop. They’re gorgeous but come at a price. A big one. It’s £78 for these boots, which is quite different from the H&M and New Look boots but they do look pretty cool. They’re suede (so you’ll need to protect them by spraying them with the water resistant stuff) and they’re also carrying lots of the current trends – cut out sides and gold buckles. Will you invest your money into these?

So what I’m basically hinting at is this – if you haven’t got a pair of ankle boots yet, why not? There’s literally a style and cut to suit anybody and everybody. Whatever your budget there’s no chance of missing a good ankle boot deal on the highstreet – they’re practically everywhere!
