Hey there fashion lovers!
I hope you’ve had a fab weekend. Today I’m talking about my style icon of the week Nina Nesbitt! For all those who don’t know Nina Nesbitt then this is a brief summary. Nina Nesbitt is a singer-songwriter, model and keen fashionista. From an early age Nina began practising her skills in music which led to her putting up Youtube videos of her unusual ‘stripped back’ songs. Numerous events and a whole bunch of hard work later, Nina found herself performing to Ed Sheeran backstage after one of his gigs. After finishing tours with Ed Sheeran and Example and with songs available from ITunes, you’re sure to see this chica in the future!
As you’ve probably guessed by now, I really do love denim dungarees. Nina definitely rocks out the dungarees with a cool patterned top, matching red lippy and a casual white converse (which are a life saver – they go with just about everything).
Here, Nina dares to go in all black. She wears her classic hat (I think she takes it everywhere with her!), a velvet dress and biker-esque ankle boots. To be honest I like the whole of this outfit – if I was her, I would of added some colour in there somewhere though. In particular I love the ankle boots. I’ve wanted a pair for like FOREVER but I find handing over £50-£80 over to the shop is harder than it looks. Yes, I know they may last for ages but that’s a lot of money!
Lastly Nina Nesbitt wears a really bright neon type 60’s dress. I never thought I’d really like a dress like this but I think it looks really good on her whilst still keeping her young vibe. If anything I’d only change the dress length – it looks short enough that sitting down isn’t really an option!
I just have a quick note to end on. Tomorrow is October and for the whole month of October I’ll be doing ‘a picture a day’. Basically that means I’ll be taking a picture of my outfits everyday for a the month and then on the first post of November I’ll post them all up for you all to see! If you’d like to join me in doing this, then that would be pretty fab.
My style icon this week is Nina Nesbitt, but who is yours? Tweet me their name and a reason why using the hashtag #MyStyleIcon to @madfashionlover or drop a comment below! You never know… next week it could be them!
