Hey there fashion lovers!
Hope you all had a good weekend.. special shout out to all my UK readers who have had way too much rain this weekend – yes, it’s officially autumn. Today I’m talking about my style icon of the week Misha B (Renae suggested this one!). Misha B (full name, Misha Bryan) is a British singer, songwriter and rapper. She was a contestant on X Factor two years ago (eighth series) which led her to sign a record deal with Relentless Records. With a 15 minute mix- tape entitled ‘Why Hello World’ released in 2012 Misha went on to release ‘Homerun’ and ‘Do you think of me’ as her first singles. One of her brightest moments in her career is probably touring alongside Nicki Minaj on her Pink Friday: Reloaded tour in the UK. Along with her journey in music, Misha has also had a journey in fashion. Take a look below at my favourite outfits of hers.
I would describe Misha’s style as quite ‘cool and quirky’. She certainly mixes and matches her colours and patterns – she’s not afraid to experiment! I love her turned up denim dungarees here. I really think dungarees are really underated – everyone should own a pair!
Here’s Misha B last year at the Radio One Teen Awards. I really love the skirt.. like really. However I wouldn’t necessarily wear it with the printed tee, a simple plain t-shirt would have worked just as well or better. Let the skirt speak for itself!
And lastly (but by no means least) is this fab outfit from Misha. I love, love, love the sweater! It’s unusual and quirky – there wouldn’t be much of a chance for someone to be wearing the same one as you! The hat and gold chain only add to the outfit plus the lippy and nails are gorgeous.
So Misha B is my style icon this week. Her constant experimental look on fashion, quirky pieces and interesting accessories makes her one great style icon. Love it.
My style icon this week is Misha B, but who is yours? Tweet me their name and a reason why using the hashtag #MyStyleIcon to @madfashionlover or drop a comment below! You never know… next week it could be them!
